2021 INFINITI QX50 vs 2020 INFINITI QX50

Serving Troy, MI

For more than a decade, the INFINITI QX50 has been a premium compact crossover SUV coveted by elite drivers. Its appeal has grown stronger over the years thanks to INFINITI’s regular efforts to infuse it with the latest features and to improve its capabilities and design. Before you pick out your new QX50 from our inventory, you need to get familiar with the updates that have been made between the 2020 and 2021 model years.

Performance

While the 2021 QX50 introduces several exciting updates, these improvements do not impact the crossover’s performance capabilities. The same five trim levels are available for both model years, and these trim levels have the same engine across the board: the VC-Turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine links with a continuously variable transmission to produce 268 horsepower. While front-wheel drive is standard for all trims, all-wheel drive is available.

Appearance

The trims are the PURE, the LUXE, the ESSENTIAL, the SENSORY, and the AUTOGRAPH from the base trim level up. There are subtle style differences between the trims, but the only difference between the 2020 and 2021 versions is the availability of the Appearance package. This package is only available at the LUXE trim level, and it adds black and dark chrome accents, heated side mirrors, and 20-inch wheels. Across the board, the QX50 is a vision of athletic elegance with dramatic definition through the lower-front fascia, up the hood, and across the sides. All trims have LED lighting, a power liftgate, and at least 19-inch wheels.

Features

The QX50’s interior features hold steady between the 2020 and 2021 model years. However, there are a few differences to the safety features. The 2021 LUXE trim standardizes some of the optional safety gear from 2020. Some of these are lane keep assist, blind-spot intervention, and adaptive cruise control. All trims for 2020 and 2021 have a pair of stacked display screens, keyless entry, a push-button starter, a wireless hotspot, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, forward collision mitigation, and other items.

Our Troy sales associates are thrilled to show off the QX50’s features and abilities to you. To schedule a showroom tour and a QX50 test drive, contact our sales department today.
