Serving Troy, MI

Are you torn between buying a 2020 INFINITI QX50 and the updated 2021 version? Both model years are included in the QX50’s second generation, but they have a few standout elements that you need to learn about before making your SUV selection. What will you uncover about their differences when you dig deeper?

Performance

You can appreciate the same excellent driving experience in both QX50 model years. All QX50 trims for 2020 and 2021 connect a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder VC-turbo engine with a continuously variable transmission. This equipment puts 268 horsepower under your control. Across the board, the QX50’s capabilities are boosted by drive mode selection. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are offered in both model years as well.

Appearance

On a trim-by-trim basis, the 2020 QX50 and the 2021 counterpart are identical. The only notable improvement to the 2021 version is the new addition of an Appearance Package for the LUXE trim level. It adds a few stunning updates to the interior and exterior designs. Across the trim line, the 2020 and 2021 QX50 have a luxurious air with chrome accents throughout the sides, front, and rear. The sharp LED lighting, dominant definition on the hood and sides, and low ground clearance give the QX50 its athletic edge. At the rear, the QX50’s coupe-like body style is boosted by a proud angle through the back windshield.

Features

The QX50 for 2020 and 2021 are appointed with most of the same features across the full trim line with one important exception. The QX50 LUXE for 2020 has optional ProAssist and ProActive safety packages. In the 2021 QX50 LUXE, all of these features are standard. Throughout the trim lines for 2020 and 2021, you can appreciate the artistic touch that a curved element in the center console brings to the front row. With dual digital display screens stacked in the dashboard, the interior of the QX50 has a distinctly modern edge as well.
