The SUV offers three rows of seating, backup collision intervention, intelligent all-wheel drive, and the latest technology for convenience and safety. QX60 has four available models to choose from.
An elegant yet practical solution for families who also want luxury, the 2018 version of the QX60 is handsome, spacious, and endlessly comfy. The SUV offers three rows of seating like its successor, a classy exterior, an uncluttered, elegant interior, and top-quality standard equipment. Unlike its successor, only one model was offered as the QX60 Hybrid was discontinued.
When it comes to a luxury crossover SUV, performance has a different meaning than it would for a sleek, sporty sedan. What’s suitable for a vehicle like this is a smooth, comfortable ride and it provides that. Only one powertrain is offered regardless of year or model. The engine is a 3.5-liter V-6 puts out 295 horsepower and is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. An all-wheel drive is an available option although the front-wheel drive is standard. Each version is rated to tow up to 5,000 pounds.
The styling of the QX60 offers a subtle grace, the design effectively hiding the weight of the vehicle in such a way that you don’t notice its size until it’s parked next to a smaller SUV. The long chrome strips lead to a crescent-shaped kickback; the front grille puckered between the headlights. The exterior colors used are classic and understated. The interior offers top-quality materials with lots of space and comfort.
The standard 2018 version of the QX60 comes with power-adjusted heated front seats, beautiful leather upholstery, a moonroof, power liftgate, 18-inch wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, keyless ignition, rearview camera, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment center. Two additional packages, Premium and Premium Plus, are available. Premium adds a 13-speaker Bose stereo, heated steering wheel, memory seats, and remote starting. Premium Plus offers a multi-view camera system, navigation, and is required to obtain additional features that convert the SUV from being a comfy family ride to a luxury cruiser.
Additional features include a rear-seat entertainment package for the second-row passengers and a driver assistance package that adds some of the latest technology to keep drivers safe on the road. There’s also a deluxe package that has all we’ve mentioned above plus an upgrade to a 15-speaker Bose stereo, 20-inch wheels, a power liftgate with a motion sensor, forward collision alert system with automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, power-adjustable back row, and wooden accents. There’s no lack of options but only one trim for the 2018 version.
The 2019 version of the QX60 has more choices and has a lot of desirable features at its standard level. There aren’t many options on this version, and many of its features are grouped with packages that aren’t available to conventional models. There are two trim levels in the 2019 release called Pure and Luxe with a Limited trim package available only to Luxe versions, and it’s loaded with great features.
The standard versions have 18-inch wheels, 5 USB charge ports, blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision alerts with automatic emergency braking, heated seats, synthetic leather upholstery, and an 8.0-inch infotainment screen. For an additional cost, the standard can be taken from a front-wheel drive to an all-wheel drive.
The Luxe model combines affordability with comfort and luxury. The Luxe trim offers a heated steering wheel, remote start, and better audio. With additional packages, you can many of the great available features like active lane control, adaptive cruise control, leather upholstery, rear seat entertainment, and top-quality audio. The best trim package is the Limited, and it has everything but the kitchen sink. With it, you get all of the features of Luxe plus 20-inch wheels, active safety, a dual-pane sunroof, heated rear seats, heated and cooled front seats, a power-folding third row, a power liftgate, and buttery leather upholstery for the ultimate in comfort and class.
